The game follows Link as he endeavors to find the pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom that are spread across eight underground dungeons and rescue the titular Zelda from the evil Ganon. The original The Legend of Zelda game (known as The Hyrule Fantasy: Zelda no Densetsu in Japan) was created by Shigeru Miyamoto and released in 1986.
